Company Flow Reunite
Whoaaaaa! Per Pitchfork: “New York skronk-rap godfathers Company Flow, aka the trio of El-P, Mr. Len, and Bigg Jus, have announced their first performances since they broke up in 2001. (El-P and Bigg Jus performed together in 2007, but these will be the first shows featuring all three.)
Company Flow will play ATP’s Portishead-curated I’ll Be Your Mirror festival in London on July 23. A few days before that, they will also play a show on their home turf at Manhattan’s Santos Party House on July 19. UPDATE: The show is actually on July 16. The Juggaknots will open. That leaves you just under a month to brush up on Funcrusher Plus; if you can’t bellow all the lyrics along with “Vital Nerve”, you’re going to look like a herb.”
The new Vastaire and Hail Mary Mallon, now this? Is hip-hop making a comeback?
